9 Types of Dolphins You Didn’t Even Know Existed

You might not know this, but there are 37 species of dolphins swimming around oceans and rivers, riding alongside boats, and jumping up doing flips.
You’re probably used to seeing the bottlenose dolphin because it’s the most well-known and well-populated species, and it can be found all over the world. Flipper is a bottlenose, and so are all those dolphins in The Cove, the ones being slaughtered in Taiji.
What’s more is that some of them look completely different—such as the hourglass dolphin, which is black and white and looks like a killer whale, or the Amazon river dolphin, which is pink.
