Emerald Tree Boa (Corallus caninus)
Can we please take a moment to appreciate that this snake is a Boa (i.e. it is in the family Boidae; i.e. a family of nonvenomous snakes that kill their prey through constriction). So if Corallus caninus is a nonvenomous constrictor, WHAT IN GOD’S NAME IS IT DOING WITH THOSE FANGS???
As a matter of fact, C. caninus has the largest fang-like teeth of any non-venomous snake in the world. And I have no idea why! Can someone enlighten me?
